Research

The Burt County Museum’s collections include items from the early 1800s.

Our research center houses photos and personal papers of the citizens of Burt County, their families, local businesses and organizations.

Guests are welcome to browse many of the more than 25,000 pieces located in the archives with the assistance of our collections staff members.  For more information on a specific item, to schedule an appointment, or for general inquiries on the collection please call (402) 374-1505 or email burtcomuseum@abbnebraska.com.

“Living is like tearing through a museum. Not until later do you start absorbing what you saw, thinking about it, looking it up in a book, and remembering – – because you can’t take it in all at once.” – Audrey Hepburn
